‘I was sitting in my small closet and drew the entire inside of the door... I actually think it’s still there.

The funny thing about memories from childhood is that they are so clear when you know that you have done something wrong, or something you were not supposed to do.’

MARIA ABRAHAMSSON

A BODY TO DWELL illustrator

‘I actually think I underestimate my entire body. Which really is a shame.

I need to give it some more love!’

MARIA ABRAHAMSSON is originally from Lund, Sweden, and has been living in Copenhagen, Denmark the past 9 years. Maria currently undertaking her Masters project at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Design in Copenhagen, where she studies furniture and objects.

‘The project is about affecting the atmosphere of a room with focus on colours and lighting (but it will hopefully result in a cozy yet fresh beer-bar).’

Before starting at design school Maria did two years of Danish “højskole” focusing on art and music. After many years on a break, she has just started to sing in a band again.

‘That, and painting are things I really enjoy doing outside of studies. And of course enjoy my friends' company at different bars and other nice places!’
